February round-up

“HI CLAIRE.  DO YOU WANT TO COME FOR TEA AT THE HOUSE OF LORDS?”

I could hardly say no and I spent a very happy afternoon with Toby Young of the Free Speech Union, now Lord Young of Acton, talking about financial freedom both sitting down and scampering around the Palace of Westminster as he combined talking, walking and working.  The man really does work hard.

Financial freedom was the key theme of February for us here at CDAD.  I’ve written already about the irony of being in Dubai to talk about the financial freedom allowed by BTC, while, on the same day, a shedload of crypto was stolen from a Dubai exchange and whisked off to North Korea.

Also while I was in Dubai, Michael Saylor was interviewed at CPAC about BTC.  This organisation is non-partisan so this is not about politics, ignore the politics.  The reason I mention this interview and encourage you to find his interview online is for the number of times he used the word “freedom”.  There’s a bottle of Fortnum and Mason champagne on the way to anyone who can guess the number of freedoms (by which I mean the number of times Saylor used the word) without watching the interview and counting.  We trust you.  Email your entry to [email protected].”
